IntroDUCKtion 2024 Schedule for Fall First-Year Students

Welcome to the University of Oregon! We’re so excited to welcome you home to Eugene. IntroDUCKtion is about helping you understand what it means to be a Duck both inside and outside of the classroom. We’ll share tips for student success, help you understand what it takes to earn your degree, and introduce you to programs, resources, and departments that are here to help. We’ll also teach you about some traditions at the UO and how to navigate life as a Duck!

Go with your assigned group. Sticking with your SOSer will ensure we can track your attendance throughout the program.

Your Story, Our Story

All Ducks have a story that tells us who they are. Share your story, and learn about resilience and the places on campus to find a home away from home.

Get Explicit

During Get Explicit, you will hear from current Ducks with Prevention Services about consent, sexual wellness, and being an effective bystander.

We know you have a lot of questions about University Housing. In this presentation, you will learn about move-in, meal plans, support throughout the year, and more!

Lunch on your own

Use the Duck Bucks card you received to explore campus eateries. If you have a pre-approved UO ID Card photo, this is a great opportunity to pick up your card.

Learn about university programs and resources and meet staff as you drop by their tables at the fair these locations.

Gain insight from academic advisors about the basics of earning a UO degree and how to stay on track toward graduation.

This is your opportunity to connect with your “advising home,” ask questions about your major, learn about academic support resources, and be sure you’re on track to complete your advising and registration requirements before fall classes begin.

These presentations run concurrently with Advisor Connect. Depending on your interests and circumstances, you can learn more about study abroad opportunities, disability accommodations, and the many ways the UO supports career preparation.
