Week of July 6: Welcome to the Flock!
To kick off our virtual experience, students will be meeting with their SOSers and flock groups this week and discussing what our programming will look like throughout the summer. Students will be able to meet their flock members and go over some expectations for the rest of the summer.
Week of July 13: Resilience at the UO
Students and their flocks will be discussing the theme of resiliency. SOSers will be sharing their personal experiences and different resources available on campus related to wellness, stress management, and mental health.
Week of July 20: Inquiring Minds
Students and their flocks will be engaging in Inquiring Minds. This is a time where students are able to ask their SOSers any questions on what it is like to be a student here at the UO.
Week of July 27: Preparing for Academic Success
Students and their flocks will be discussing how to prepare for their academic advising session. SOSers will be going over the necessary steps that students must take before their advising session and how to navigate our Canvas site.
Week of August 3: Movie Week
It’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy! This week students and their flocks will be taking a break from our traditional programming and will be watching a movie of their choosing.
Week of August 10: Find Your Place
Students and their flocks will be discussing the different ways to get involved on campus! SOSers will be leading an activity and going over the various student life groups that students can join in the fall.
Week of August 17: Traditions and School Spirit
This week students and their flocks will be talking about our school spirit and different traditions here at the UO. School spirit is something we love and it is an important part of being a Duck, so get ready to throw your O and dance your tail’s off!
Week of August 24: Keeping Our Community Healthy
We have a shared responsibility as a community of Ducks to keep our flock safe and healthy. Soon you will join our community and have more independence than ever before. This week SOSers will discuss positive decisions that you can make while here at the UO to ensure that you and your fellow classmates have a meaningful, rewarding, and healthy college experience.
