On-campus two-day sessions

One parent or family member is included in the base fee for all two-day, on-campus programs. Students who plan to bring additional guests may add them during registration via DuckWeb.

Freshmen who attend a two-day IntroDUCKtion session over the summer are required to stay in the on-campus residence halls for a minimum of one night; students may opt for two nights at no additional cost. Parents and family members are not permitted to stay in the residence halls. We encourage you to check out our hotel partners.

Students who attend the September session may opt to move into their assigned residence hall room early, but it is not required. The orientation fee does not cover these charges as they are considered additions to the housing contract.

Off-site programs

One parent or family member is included in the base fee for all off-site programs. Students who plan to bring additional guests may add them during registration via DuckWeb. Hotel stays for students and their family members are not included in the fee. Should you need hotel accommodations, we encourage you to stay at the host hotel and make your reservations early.

One-day transfer and mid-year programs

All parents and guests are included in the one-day programs for transfers and mid-year admits. The additional guest participation fee of $95 does not apply to these sessions.

Refunds

A request for refund due to cancellation will be handled as follows:

  • Cancellation by 5:00 p.m. PDT 30 calendar days prior to registered session: 100% refund
  • Cancellation by 5:00 p.m. PDT 7 calendar days before registered session: 50% refund
  • Cancellation less than 7 calendar days prior to registered session: no refund

Credit card refunds are made to the card originally used to pay the fee and are processed within one week of approval. Refunds for e-check payments are processed in September after all orientation sessions have concluded. E-check refund processing takes approximately four to six weeks and will appear as a credit on the student’s first billing statement.

Student Orientation Programs can only process refunds for the orientation fee. To receive a refund for the Advance Tuition Deposit, please email the Office of Admissions at uoadmit@uoregon.edu. To receive a refund from University Housing, please email housing@uoregon.edu.
