– Deadlines Extended –

Due to the delay in FAFSA data being supplied to the University of Oregon, the UO is extending the confirmation deadline to June 1, 2024, for first-year students admitted for fall 2024. We are also extending the priority FAFSA filing deadline to April 1, 2024, for all UO students.

Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion

Orientation isn’t just for students—parents and family members play a crucial role in the success of college students. We invite you to participate in Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion, a program designed to help you become familiar with resources for families and guide you through your student’s orientation and transition process.

What’s Included

Each in-person IntroDUCKtion session for first-year students includes a concurrent program for parents, families, and other supporters of new Ducks. Topics covered during the Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion program include:

  • Supporting your student from afar
  • Parent and Family Programs
  • Fall move-in and Week of Welcome
  • Understanding the UO degree
  • Academic support services
  • First-Year Programs
  • University Housing
  • Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Business Affairs
  • Getting involved
  • And more!

The entirety of the on-campus IntroDUCKtion session will begin with check-in at 10:30 a.m. on Day One and finish at 5:00 p.m. on Day Two. Students are required to attend their program in its entirety: parents and family attendance is optional but highly encouraged.

If you are the parent, family member, or spouse of an incoming transfer student, please check the Transfer IntroDUCKtion webpage for more information.
