“My entire life, I’ve been a complete and utter worry wart. So naturally, coming to the UO was extremely worry-inducing. I remember thinking to myself in the car on the way up north to move to Eugene, that if I could turn the car around and stay at home forever, I absolutely would. But as life goes, I couldn’t turn the car around. So I mustered up every ounce of courage I had, called my roommates I was terrified of to let them know I was there to move in, and well, did it. I moved into my apartment, started classes, became best friends with those roommates I was terrified of, and lost those worries I had. It’s pretty cheesy, but it’s absolutely true – college starts out tough, but becomes one of the best times of your life. And no matter how rough that start is for you, you’ll be okay.”
